Since you haven't posted any comment so far (lack of time?), concerning the power of high technology, I'll try to "tease" you with a poem I came across (and whose author I couldn't find out, unfortunately!), and which really puts in evidence how technology can affect our lives!

Tell me if you liked it or not...You can also try to finish it, referring to "the price we have to pay"...ok?

We've got televisions, freezers and stereos
And machines that wash and dry
We've got helicopters waiting by the swimming-pool
We've got everything money can buy.

Things are getting better and better
Everyday there's something new
You think you miss the good old days
I'd think again if I were you!

We never used to travel much; we didn't have a car
We always used to stay at home
And we wrote a lot of letters in the good old days
Because we didn't have a telephone.

Traffic jams and blocks of flats
You can see them every day
You think you've got a better life

BUT THERE'S A PRICE YOU'VE HAD TO PAY!
