Hello, 'tourists' from 11th E!
I know you are very busy, but I also know you spend a lot of time surfing the Net... So, let's try to prepare something (in English, of course!) to tell "our" families, back in Catford, about our impressions? You can write about Catford/London, their culture, the food, the monuments... I'll help you, if you need me!
Good work!

London: our impressions about: families, culture and Catford
Families
The host families that welcomed us in London were very sociable, they were also very friendly and talkative. They seemed to have a good impression about Portugal and the people. We shared ideas/opinions about gastronomy, education, culture, people, health and society. Oh my gosh! So many differences!
We are sure that they also got a good impression about us and Vieira do Minho.
Besides, one day we cooked to our family, we tried to talk to them in English, we taught them some Portuguese words , we tried to learn something from the British culture and traditions, we gave them a souvenir from Portugal and some leaflets about Vieira do Minho.
Culture
We walked around the city of London, to see some important monuments, to practise the language, to enjoy the landscape, to contact with the people, not only the British, but from all over the world…Imagine: we went to an Islamic Mosque and the ladies of the group had to dress “properly” to go in!
Catford
Catford is a town in the London Borough of Lewisham, England. It is located 6.3 miles (10.1 Km) south east of Charing Cross and covers most of SE6 postcode.
The name derives from the place where wildcats crossed the River Ravensbourne in Saxon times. Catford’s most prominent landmark is the Catford Cat, a giant fibreglass sculpture of a black cat above the entrance to the Catford Centre. This is a small shopping centre, housing Tesco and Iceland supermarkets as well as some independent shops in the punningly-named Catford Mews. There is a street market on Catford Broadway. Catford has several pubs and a variety of non-chain restaurants and cafes. Catford´s oldest pub is the Black Horse and Harrow which existed at least as early as 1700, though the present building dates from 1897 (at which Karl Marx was a patron). Between 1932 and 2003, Catford Stadium was a successful greyhound racing track, but it is now closed.
